Meet the new nodes!

One of the most important sources of PerfOps data is synthetic benchmarking. Authoritative DNS providers, public DNS resolvers and Cloud providers are tested every minute from more than 250 locations around the world. The data is collected and processed round the clock, for several years now. And that is obvious, the more test servers in different locations we have - the more accurate and valuable our results are.

PerfOps Changelog: CLI update, Cloud Data, IP Ranges and ASNs

We are happy to announce the beta release of our cloud performance and uptime data. PerfOps now collects data for all popular cloud providers such as AWS, Google, DigitalOcean, Vultr and soon even more. You can now decide which region makes more sense for you not just on a general feeling and pricing but on concrete data from all over the world.

Geographically Balancing Your Web Application with a FlexBalancer

Using a Content Delivery Network (CDN) is one of the most effective ways of increasing the performance of delivering static content to your end users. CDNs operate by caching your static content in a globally distributed network and delivering that same content to your end users at the nearest point of presence. There is nothing magical about why CDNs are fast, they simply use the laws of physics. It takes a shorter amount of time to walk one block than it does one mile.

A new HQ for PerfOps - Our office

PerfOps began as a fully remote company with team members located all over the world. It allowed us to hire fast and move fast. But as the team grew the effective communication became a problem, especially because of the complexity of the products we are building. Now as we need to grow even faster it became apparent that to do that we need all team-members working and interacting in the same office.

PerfOps FlexBalancer Raw Logs

Our latest product release contains plenty of new features, so we decided to list the major ones that our users will find most exciting. We now make it even simpler to debug your load-balancing by providing access to raw logs for FlexBalancer. All requests hitting our backend are now logged and available for analysis by our customers directly on the Analytics page. When you setup complex load-balancing rules it could be hard to understand how it will perform in some rare use-cases.

Why Small and Medium Sized Companies Need Multi-CDN

Content delivery networks are distributed servers that help organizations improve access to various types of website, application and platform content. Small and medium-size companies sometimes assume that a single CDN is all that they need to support their demand, but a multi-CDN is not reserved for large enterprises alone. Several industries that particularly benefit from multi-CDNs are gaming and streaming.

jsDelivr is now handling all load-balancing with FlexBalancer

jsDelivr, the first and only free multi-CDN for open source projects are now using PerfOps FlexBalancer to load balance between their sponsoring CDNs. Until now, jsDelivr had been using Cedexis Openmix to achieve its Multi-CDN load balancing. After analyzing the ease of migration and benefits of FlexBalancer, jsDelivr decided that it was time for a change.

PerfOps Announces FlexBalancers - Smart traffic routing

When we started working on our data platform to measure the performance of DNS and CDN providers we knew that we had a lot of valuable data. The challenge was to take full advantage of that data and allow easy integration and detailed analysis. To achieve this, we built a robust API which provides access to our full feature stack.
