Moving to Kubernetes gives applications the ability to scale, but it also introduces challenges to managing and operating cloud infrastructure. When giffgaff, a virtual mobile network, migrated to EKS, they needed to figure out how they would automatically scale their EC2 instances and how they would do so cost-efficiently.
