Cloud 66

Cloud 66 Feature Highlight: Tag Propagation

What is tag propagation? Some cloud providers support the propagation of your Cloud 66 tags into their own tagging systems. Tag Propagation allows you to easily identify and link components between your Cloud 66 account and supported cloud provider platforms. Currently, tag propagation supports cloud servers and load balancer components.

Cloud 66 Feature Highlight: Delete Protection

What is Delete Protection? This feature stops specific servers from being accidentally deleted from your account. Delete Protection helps developers to prevent applications from going down and gives more control over your server mix. This includes avoiding deletion of core servers when scaling down via the API, and safeguarding servers with intentionally unique configurations ("snowflakes").

Cloud 66 Feature Highlight: Archived Application

Archived Applications allows developers to "park" an application at any time. Archiving an application saves the configuration and state of your deployment, turns your servers off, and puts your application into a dormant state. Once your application is archived, you will not be able to open, edit or access it until you restore it. Servers used by this application will be turned off (deactivated) but not deleted. Please do not delete these servers, or you will not be able to restore your application. Note that you don't pay Cloud 66 for applications that are archived.

Cloud 66 Feature Highlight: Application Update Lockdown

Application Update Lockdown allows you to control your deployments. Ask a team member or your client to sign-off your project before deploying to the production environment. By default, AUL is not active, and anyone with the proper permissions can deploy the application. However, you can change the default setting to one of the other two options: Approval from Anyone, or Approval from specific Team Member(s).

Deploying Ruby on Rails to Hetzner Cloud with Cloud 66

Ruby on Rails is one of the most popular frameworks for developing web applications. If you're looking for an easy and reliable way to deploy your Rails application to production on Hetzner Cloud with Cloud 66, you're in the right place. Based on your infrastructure requirements you can choose between two Cloud 66 products: you can either natively deploy your Rails app with Cloud 66 for Rails, or deploy a containerized Rails application with Cloud 66 Maestro.

Cloud 66 Feature Highlight: Verified Backups

While backups are an excellent way to start protecting your data from disasters and human error, you can do more to ensure their integrity with Verified Backups. Verified Backups work by running a user-defined query against a restored backup to ensure the data is what you expected it to be. Once the query runs successfully, the backup is marked as verified.
