JFrog Quick Tip - How to create a remote repo
In this video, I describe how to create a remote repository. But what is a remote repository, and what is it needed for?
Remote repositories are virtual proxies of external repositories that you want to include in your own structures. Here you then have the option of accessing the remote content and using it in local development. The retrieved elements are also kept in these repositories, so renewed access only has to be local. These caching strategies speed up your processes and increase independence from the availability of other infrastructure elements. Exclusion patterns can also be defined in these remote repositories - so that factors once identified as destructive components do not get back into the system.
