xMatters Xenon Release
Blast off into a new era of incident resolution! Your teams may not have to choose between ground tanks or flying planes like they do in the arcade game, but with our Xenon release, resolvers will be able to quickly switch between strategies to ensure they’re always working as effectively as possible. So, let’s see what’s packed in this mission’s inventory.
Ideally, alerts should always be acknowledged, but what happens when team members are unable to answer the call? If an alert doesn’t get answered by the end of its escalation sequence, you can choose to notify a user or group so supervisors can better understand what happened, why, and how to fix it.
If you need your flows to launch at specific times, rather than only when a signal is received, you can now use our Schedule trigger to run your flows at regular intervals. For example, you could set a flow to automatically query information from another system every seven days, twice a week, or every three hours, without the need for additional complexity or add-ons.
Tasks are an invaluable feature for teams to understand what needs to be done and when. To keep resolvers in the loop, you can now choose the ‘Notify Assignee’ option when creating tasks to make sure they’re notified when assigned a task and whenever it’s updated.
If you’re familiar with our Incident Console, you’ll know just how powerful collaboration channels are for keeping everyone on the same page. Now, we’re bringing this feature to playbooks, allowing teams to add channels automatically so resolvers can immediately click and connect to their colleagues from within xMatters in seconds.
These features are now available in xMatters instances. If you’d like to learn more about everything that’s included in Xenon, our Release Overview has everything you need to know.
