The use of NFV migration is becoming commonplace, it is made apparent there is a need for a higher degree of software management, smoother upgrades, and deployment process. Due to the complexity of the migration, Telcos have been deterred from adoption. A solution should be out there to aid businesses in managing and deploying network automation, orchestration, and managed services. In general, a telco network is complex and needs to be managed using multiple perspectives.

In modern software systems, it is common for several developers to work on the same project simultaneously. Siloed working with infrequent merging of code in a shared repository often leads to bugs and conflicts that are difficult and time-consuming to resolve. To solve this problem, we can adopt continuous integration.

Qovery is a continuous deployment platform. Users deploy apps of all kinds, written in any language and framework they choose. The freedom users have come with a cost for the Qovery core team - the broad scope Qovery has to cover, makes it harder to make the deployment process stable and straightforward for everybody. It's easy to create a service focused on just one language or framework - supporting all of them requires considering many more factors.

In March 2021, Microsoft announced Operator Connect, a new way for organizations to connect Microsoft Teams to a telecom provider. From an enterprise buyer’s perspective, Operator Connect delivers a new “apps store” type of experience to enable organizations to choose a telecom provider and connect Teams users to the PSTN from the Teams admin center. Equally important, Operator Connect enables a new set of menu-based user configuration tools within the Teams admin center.

Virtually all development organizations need access to remote public resources such as Maven Central, NuGet Gallery, npmjs.org, Docker Hub etc., to download dependencies needed for a build. One of the big benefits of using Artifactory is its remote repositories which proxy these remote resources and cache artifacts that are downloaded.

On August 11th, 2021, we conducted a workshop to discuss implementing a GitOps workflow using ArgoCD, Crossplane, and Shipa. We were overwhelmed by the hundreds of people who registered for the session. We believe it shows a few important challenges have to be solved for GitOps to become mainstream across different enterprises. While GitOps brings many benefits, we often see teams facing challenges.

Lately, enterprises are moving towards a hybrid solution that offers the best of both worlds. A hybrid cloud setup combines two infrastructures like a private cloud with one or more public cloud further enabling communication between each distinct service. To maximize returns, a hybrid cloud strategy equips the enterprise with greater flexibility and control by moving workloads between clouds as costs and resources fluctuate.
