This quarter we’ve been busy investing a lot of effort into improving how users understand and control what they pay for VictoriaMetrics Cloud, and how to move around the console while doing it, with major UX improvements across different sections and functionalities. The big piece of work is transparent credits reporting, giving prepaid customers full visibility into balance, consumption, and expiration.

Occasionally, I get asked, "is pgvector enough for Enterprise AI Solutions or should I migrate to a dedicated vector database?" The honest answer is No Create EXTENSION vector; ALONE is not going to solve your solution for enterprise AI. That being said, I don't think you're asking the right question. The better question is, "does a dedicated vector database make sense for my workload or would pgvector suffice?".

The NAS Died. My WhatsUp Gold Server Died With It. WhatsUp Gold 360 Still Alerted Me. A real home-lab failure shows why always-on external monitoring and cloud-originated notifications matter when the local monitoring stack becomes part of the outage. On April 13, 2025, the NAS providing NFS storage to several virtual machines in my Proxmox lab locked up and halted.
