Introducing VMware Tanzu Community Edition: Simple, Turnkey Access to the Kubernetes and Cloud Native Ecosystem

Open source is the foundation on which Tanzu stands, and we take inspiration not only from the engineering community, but also from the end-user community that has taken an upstream-first approach to deploy cloud native technologies in production. As with many things Kubernetes-centric, it is still quite challenging to operationalize a pure, clean, open source–only, upstream-aligned platform for enterprise use. We are looking to change that with VMware Tanzu Community Edition.

Elastic Enterprise Search: Next-gen search experiences backed by ML

At ElasticON Global 2021, we shared a future view of Elastic Enterprise Search and how we’re continuing to build next-generation, machine learning-powered search experiences backed by the speed, scale, and relevance of Elasticsearch. We also highlighted the many ways we plan to keep building even more flexibility into our solutions.

Debug iOS crashes efficiently with Datadog RUM

Unsurprisingly, application crashes due to fatal errors can be a major pain point for iOS users. Recent research shows that roughly 20 percent of mobile application uninstalls were due to crashes or other code errors. As a developer, it’s paramount to manage this potential churn by capturing comprehensive crash data in order to track, triage, and debug recurring issues in your iOS apps.

How Real Estate Investors Can Use Artificial Intelligence

How do you determine whether one multifamily deal is better than another? Let me start by saying that a deal is only as good as the assumptions you’re making as an investor, and assumptions are not guaranteed to materialize. As a real estate investor, operator and syndicator through my company Blue Lake Capital, a significant part of our analysis when considering properties to invest in is looking at how the property performed in the past.

Put the Machines to Work for You: A Modern Approach to Increase IT Agility

Putting machines to work to enhance our everyday lives has been well-ingrained in our society for at least a couple of centuries now. IT workers use machine learning (ML) in their daily work routines, even if they don’t consciously realize it. Automated email alerts, issue escalations, and security patching are just a few examples of how ML has put the systems we rely on to work for us.

gRPC-web: Using gRPC in Your Front-End Application

At Torq, we use gRPC as our one and only synchronous communication protocol. Microservices communicate with each other using gRPC, our external API is exposed via gRPC and our frontend application (written using VueJS) uses the gRPC protocol to communicate with our backend services. One of the main strengths of gRPC is the community and the language support. Given some proto files, you can generate a server and a client for most programming languages.

Deploy the RESTMon Microservice in Minutes

Within any enterprise, IT operations teams use a variety of solutions to monitor their technology ecosystem. These products are often business critical and cannot easily be replaced or migrated. Ultimately, it’s important that teams can analyze and correlate data from these different tools so they can produce the insights they need to improve decision making. To help address these requirements, Broadcom offers RESTMon.
