August 2022 Update - Change duty status of colleagues, configurable duty notifications and revised password change

Our August update now allows administrators and team administrators to change the service status of other users in the portal. We also made service settings more granular and e.g. introduced the ability to turn off certain push messages when colleagues’ service statuses change. We have also revised the way of changing personal password or remote action PIN in the portal. All details are available in this article.

You can execute remote actions in response to an alert to trigger some kind of remediation action. But there are many more possible use cases. July 2022 update - Remote actions for super-fast incident remediation

Our July update ships a very powerful new feature – remote actions. Remote actions are available for execution – once configured – in the SIGNL4 mobile app and allow you to quickly perform remediation actions without having to fire up a notebook and VPN or without using a desktop PC. Holiday Import from iCal Files

SIGNL4 offers powerful duty scheduling and time-based overrides for routing alerts to the right people at the right time. With time-based overrides for example, you can apply different alerting workflows during business hours, weekends, holidays, etc. Holidays in general can bring other requirements for signaling and must also be considered separately when planning shifts. You can add and edit holidays manually in SIGNL4 or you can import them from iCal files.

Heartbeat check and more - is your monitoring still alive?

SIGNL4 is a cloud-based mobile alerting and incident response service. Third-party systems like monitoring tools, control systems or IoT sensors detect abnormalities and transmit events to SIGNL4 over the Internet. What if your systems cannot transmit critical events anymore? That might happen when the Internet is down or when the tool itself has a problem. In this case, SIGNL4 would miss critical events and could not turn them into alert notifications to your IT admins, technicians and experts.
