We’re happy to announce SolarWinds is partnering with DigitalOcean, a cloud infrastructure provider offering cloud services to help deploy modern apps, to offer application level monitoring to applications running in droplets with SolarWinds® application performance management (APM) solutions.

Although our Head Geek Leon Adato may have attempted to predict 2020 last year, no one could’ve prepared us for what was to come. Today as we work from various remote spaces including our living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, or any room where we can find a good Wi-Fi signal, it’s hard to think of what our situation will look like in 2021.

My team was not happy with me. I had just convened a meeting of my direct reports — and the managers that reported to them — to deliver the news personally. “No more new tools,” I told them. “We have everything we need to do our job. Our environment just doesn’t change that fast. So stop bringing me requests for new tools. The answer is no.” It was unquestionably the right call at the time, but today, it would be laughable.

We’re delighted to announce that, after a rigorous evaluation by the AWS Service Ready Program, JFrog Artifactory and Xray have been validated as following best practices for AWS Outposts. What additional engineering did we do to get our core DevOps solutions to perform on AWS Outposts? None at all. We’re proud of meeting AWS’s strict standards, but it was no surprise.

Earlier this week, we closed the acquisitions of MobileIron, a leading provider of mobile-centric unified endpoint management solutions, and Pulse Secure LLC, a leading provider of Zero Trust Secure Access and mobile security solutions. I’m personally super excited to join forces with MobileIron and Pulse Secure and combine our strengths to deliver unparalleled coverage across all device types in the Everywhere Enterprise.

Every year, I look forward to the release of the annual State of DevOps report (that’s the kind of exciting life I lead!). The evolution and adoption of DevOps in the past decade has been incredible — and this report always helps show what’s the next big thing that high-performing teams are adopting.
