Why are smart companies so dumb about motivating employees?

Chances are, you are totally over your job. The stress, the office politics, the outdated processes you can’t change… some days it hardly seems worth the paycheck. You’re not alone. According to a Gallup poll, only about 25 percent of North American workers say they’re engaged in their work. A separate survey reports 43 percent admit to staying in a job despite being “checked out”. Why are we so demoralized? Is this the new normal?

Introducing Display Preferences

While our engineering team was hard at work improving the performance of the new event viewer, our design team got to work rejuvenating the user experience. We’re excited to offer some serious upgrades and customization options. We organized our interface elements, cleaned up the mobile experience, and adopted a new header and navigation to provide a smoother transition when switching between other SolarWinds® APM products. And of course, we updated the look and feel.

But once you share a Go module project with the community, what happens to it? Does it get used?

PagerDuty Summit Rocked

We had an excellent time at PagerDuty Summit 2019. The folks we met at the booth and in the hallway track felt particularly kindred to Team Honeybee: we’ve all been on-call, and we all want it to be better. The main themes of the conference revolved around best practices and learnings for finding issues faster, knowing exactly what to do in an incident, enabling on-call to know how to prioritize an alert, and what our community can do to improve on-call life.
