This latest release of SquaredUp for SCOM and SquaredUp for Azure is focused on addressing the most popular enhancements that our customers have requested.

According to Merriam-Webster, a mustache is 'the hair growing on the human lip' – so let's be clear that when referring to mustache pickers in this blog, we are not suggesting using tweezer-like tools to help you design hipster dashboards. Instead, we are talking about an awesome SquaredUp productivity feature called mustache picker that helps you get quick and effective results when using mustache template syntax within SquaredUp.

Many customers we have are hybrid – meaning they have both Azure and on-prem estate, and subsequently both SquaredUp for Azure and SquaredUp for SCOM deployments. In other cases, some customers are using multiple different deployments of a product, for example for multiple SCOM management groups or multiple Azure tenants.

In Part 1: Installation, we finished installing the Management Pack and managed to connect one of our subscriptions where the resources we want to monitor are. Now, let’s move on to configuring the monitoring for actual resources or services.

SCOM isn’t only powerful when it comes to monitoring on-prem infrastructure, but it has also come a long way when it comes to monitoring your Azure resources. Microsoft offers a great Management Pack for monitoring Azure resources which has been through a few iterations and has only become better with each one.

Being able to visualize the logs from your infrastructure is crucial - both for identifying potential issues and identifying opportunities for improving performance and utilization. However, when it comes to SCOM and Azure, monitoring can be a bit confusing.
