HAProxy Technologies attended Kubernetes Community Days France 2023, where 800 participants gathered to discuss cloud-native and DevOps technologies. It’s always a delight to interact with the heart of the industry and hear how professionals and hobbyists are implementing HAProxy as an ingress controller, load balancer, API gateway, and security solution. If we summarized KCD France 2023 in one word, it would be “community.”

When a tech community comes together, great things happen and Serverless Days ANZ 2023 was no exception. As soon as you checked-in, you could feel the community spirit, buzz and excitement that comes with an event like this. It’s been four years since the last Serverless Days ANZ was able to run IRL (In real life), and the local serverless community had been eagerly waiting for its return.

Our second SolarWinds Day was another success! For our second SolarWinds Day, we focused on our customers. We shared exciting new product updates, new tool releases, and some helpful tips for navigating 2023. CloudNativeSecurityCon North America, a two-day event organized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), recently took place in Seattle, Washington, and gave the industry an opportunity to come together to discuss cloud native security projects and how to address today’s security challenges and opportunities. Supply chain security was a hot topic at the event, as it has been across the industry for the last few years.

I’ve always been wary about vendor events. In my experience, many of them are mostly marketing pitches, with little or no content that is applicable to my use cases. Despite that, last year I decided to convince my manager to let me attend ObservabilityCON 2022 to see what I could learn from it. My hope was that I would be able to get practical knowledge that could be applied as soon as I got back to work. (Spoiler alert: I did!)

2023 started with a boost of positive energy after attending my first CES EDGE23 federal event sponsored by the GBEF (Government Business Executive Forum). As a sponsor of this year’s EDGE23 conference, I represented ScienceLogic as a co-moderator to a very relevant and thoughtful executive round table on navigating the challenges associated with ‘Continuous IT Modernization’.

Greetings from Las Vegas, and the first “normal” AWS (Amazon Web Services) re:Invent since the show in 2019! We made it! Now begins the recovery and the slog back to “normal.” It does not matter if it was your first, third, or even fifth AWS re:Invent experience. You always end up walking away learning something new or finding new tools that you did not know you needed, and as always, more swag and freebies from the convention floor than you thought possible.
