Monitoring as Code and Checkly Listed in the Gartner Hype Cycle for the Second Consecutive Year

I'm excited to share that Gartner has included Monitoring as Code (MaC) as an emerging practice to their Hype Cycles for SREs again, the second year in a row. Since we founded Checkly, our vision has been that monitoring should sit in your repository, be codified, and scale with your software development. There is no alternative to MaC as it allows your engineering team(s) to work together, create and maintain checks, and ultimately own their monitoring.

Introducing Aiven for Valkey

Aiven offers managed Valkey, an open source NoSQL database compatible with legacy OSS Redis* perfect for caching, message queues, and more. Today ‍Aiven is launching Aiven for Valkey to give customers a fully open source Redis alternative. Aiven for Caching will remain available to existing customers, but due to recent Redis licensing changes, it will remain on Redis 7.2.4. Valkey is a fork of OSS Redis, version 7.2.5, maintained by the Linux Foundation and is fully backwards compatible with Redis.

Announcing HAProxy Kubernetes Ingress Controller 3.0

HAProxy Kubernetes Ingress Controller 3.0 is now available. For our enterprise customers, HAProxy Enterprise Kubernetes Ingress Controller 3.0 will arrive later this year and incorporate these same features. In this release, we've added TCP custom resource definitions (CRDs) to improve mapping, structuring, and validation for TCP services within HAProxy Kubernetes Ingress Controller. Say goodbye to messy service list management and "hello" to greater flexibility with HAProxy options for your K8s services.
