Use the HAProxy Runtime API to update SSL certificates in HAProxy without a reload. When you route traffic through an HAProxy load balancer, you gain the ability to terminate SSL at the load balancer. HAProxy encrypts communication between the client and itself and then sends the decrypted messages to your backend servers, which means less CPU work on the servers because there’s no encryption work left to do.

Kubernetes is an open-source project that “containerizes” workloads and services and manages deployment and configurations. Released by Google in 2015, Kubernetes is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Since its release, it has become a worldwide phenomenon. Today Microsoft announced an update for Windows 10 which brings WSL 2 back to the Windows 10 May 2019 and November 2019 updates, also known as versions 1903 and 1909, respectively.

Monitoring and compliance are, in many ways, synonymous. At the very least, there’s a big overlap in terms of defining and monitoring rulesets you care about. The time frame may vary; with monitoring, you might jump on an alert right away, as opposed to the compliance team’s quarterly audit, but the foundation remains the same. In recent polls we’ve conducted with engineers and leaders, we’ve found that around 70% of participants used MTTA and MTTR as one of their main metrics. 20% of participants cited looking at planned versus unplanned work, and 10% said they currently look at no metrics.
