Hi everyone! We had a fantastic time at SREcon 2022 Americas last week, and I thought I’d share our stories and experiences. As the SRE community grows and evolves, these chances for collaboration become more and more important… and fun! Although I only attended virtually, I could still feel an exciting atmosphere as great minds came together.

The HIMSS 2022 conference, hosted in Orlando, was an enjoyable, insightful experience with sessions that covered many healthcare topics, such as business operations, data and information, care delivery, policy and technology. Education sessions were led by renowned thought leaders who examined challenges and trends in modern healthcare. Here are five takeaways from our HIMSS 2022 experience.

If you didn’t attend our recently concluded DevOps Cloud Days online conference, you missed a learning event that those who did called “fantastic” and “meaningful.” In written feedback, developers, operations staff, and security admins who attended described the presentations as “powerful,” “inspiring” and “excellent.” Fortunately, it wasn’t your last chance to share that fruitful experience with us.

Toward the end of each year, tens of thousands make the journey to Las Vegas to participate in AWS re:Invent. AWS re:Invent has been the seminal conference for cloud-focused engineers since 2012, offering a space where the global cloud computing community can share and learn the latest insights and solutions.

AWS re:Invent 2021 was an especially unique event, as it was the industry’s first big in-person event since the start of the pandemic. After nearly two years of virtual events, being able to walk the expo halls in-person was an adjustment to say the least.

A couple of weeks ago the Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) took place in Nuremberg, Germany. For over a decade now the OSMC provides a platform for monitoring engineers and open source vendors from the field. Icinga is part of this conference since the beginning. For us the event is a highlight every year and we take the chance to spend time with the community and give updates about our products. Like every year, our CEO Bernd summarized again the current state of Icinga.

Across the globe, in-person technology events are beginning to emerge from their pandemic hibernation. For developers and DevOps teams, no event has been more anticipated than AWS re:Invent, which is back in Las Vegas, November 29th — December 3rd to help bring us all back together and slowly let us find our new normal. While handshakes may be replaced by elbow bumps or other newfound greeting rituals, we are excited to be back and see all of you in real life.
