As promised in our latest update in June, we have prepared the new public status pages. We’ll deploy them after this beta period so your feedback will be much appreciated! What’s new, how does it look and how can you use it?

StatusGator has been monitoring hundreds of status pages for more than 5 years. During this time, we’ve collected millions of data points about the status of the cloud: What went down, how long it was down, messages about why, and more. As StatusGator grows, we’re working on ways to incorporate this archival data into StatusGator for various uses. One common use: holding vendors accountable to Service Level Agreements. Introducing: SLA Monitor by StatusGator.

A hosted status page gives you the peace of mind that users can always answer one simple question: is it up or down. Hosted status pages work because they offer third-party confirmation your services are up. If your site goes down, the third party is likely not down and you can use them to refer to your status. Status pages are your personal 24 hour news cycle. Regardless of if you’re up or down, customer service fields fewer support tickets, and users praise your transparency.

Atlassian, the maker of Opsgenie (We have an integration for Opsgenie too!), also offers Statuspage. Statuspage is a communication tool that allows users to view the current and recent past status of a website, API, or web application. In addition to a hosted status notification page, Statuspage also sends out messages to users to keep them informed about your site’s availability. Now Uptrends can automatically send updates to Statuspage using the new integration.
