How Is Machine Learning Used In AIOps?

When we think of computers, we typically think in terms of exactness. For example, if we ask a computer to do a numeric calculation and it gives us a result, we are 100% sure that the result is correct. And if we write an algorithm and it gives an incorrect result, we know we have coded improperly and it needs to be corrected. This exactness however, is not the case when dealing with Machine Learning. As a matter of fact, it is par for the course, that Machine Learning will be incorrect a percentage of the time.

RESOLVE '22: Measuring what matters

Companies can take big strides toward “preventing preventable” incidents by minding what they measure. What’s in a name? In Measuring what matters, one of the panels at our RESOLVE ‘22 event, the three words in the title reflect a plan successful IT Ops teams have embraced to reduce the complexity of their reporting systems—resulting in a faster path for companies to make more effective use of all the IT resources at their disposal.

How Observability and AIOps Are Transforming the World

Artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and associated technologies—like machine learning (ML) and natural language processing—for normal IT operations activities and endeavors. AIOps helps ITOps, DevOps, and site reliability engineer (SRE) teams work better by examining IT information and observability telemetry.

RESOLVE '22: Warp speed to digital innovation

The pandemic accelerated digital transformation in the business world by forcing companies to double down on areas in which they’d already begun investing. The mass move to video conferencing solutions in industries such as healthcare and education are two examples. In other industries, companies were only able to survive by jumping into completely new areas: brick-and-mortar retailers diving feet-first into e-commerce after lockdowns and health concerns kept shoppers indoors, for example.

RESOLVE '22: Bit by bit

It is difficult to define a single, solid maturity model for IT Operations. As moderator Jason Walker, BigPanda’s COO, said in our RESOLVE ’22 event Bit by bit, maturity models in “almost every other domain of IT” have not turned into a workable set of guideposts and indicators in the Ops domain. We welcomed Insurity’s Lead Cloud Operations Performance & Monitoring Admin, Ronnel Vergara, to take the stage and talk over this high-level topic at our event.

Where can IT process automation make a real impact? | Resolve

Is your IT department buried in service desk requests or incident response tickets? Is your IT Operations team scrambling to assess and isolate a network application problem? In this video Resolve CEO Vijay Kurkal explains how automation can help clean up the mundane service desk tasks and communication while freeing up your ITOps resources to do more meaningful work by providing automation solutions for auto-remediation, provisioning, observability and much more.
